Job description: 

AdaCore is seeking a talented and highly-motivated Strategic Account Manager. As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and growing our most important client relationships. Your primary goal is to understand our clients' strategic objectives, align our products and services to meet those goals, and drive long-term value for both our clients and our organization. This role demands a high level of strategic thinking, relationship-building, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with key clients. Understanding the clients' business strategies, objectives, and challenges, and aligning our solutions accordingly. 

  • Account Growth and Expansion: The Strategic Account Manager will work to identify opportunities for organic growth within existing strategic accounts, and develop and execute account-specific growth strategies to increase revenue and profitability. Additionally, the Strategic Account Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.

  • Account Retention: Proactively address client concerns and issues, ensuring prompt resolution. Monitor and measure client satisfaction, taking proactive steps to maintain and enhance it. Review and renegotiate service agreements or contracts as necessary.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain account-specific strategic plans, outlining short-term and long-term objectives. Collaborate with clients to co-create roadmaps and solutions that align with their business goals. Identify emerging market trends and opportunities that can benefit both the client and our organization.

  • Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations to establish enterprise contracts with our customers and ensure long term profitability Propose some creative approaches to optimize our revenue while ensuring satisfaction of our clients

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze client data and market trends to identify opportunities for account growth, improvement, and optimization. Prepare and deliver reports on account performance, sales activities, and strategic initiatives.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with colleagues from various departments, such as product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure a seamless client experience. Share client feedback and insights with internal teams to drive product improvements and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in strategic account management, sales, or a related field.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and Google Office Suite.

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze complex data sets.

  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding strategic goals.

  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.

Salary range:  $150,000 - $180,000.  Placement on the range is dependent upon a candidate's experience and geographical location.
